Chanting + Meditation

Chanting is an opportunity to come together in a nurturing community setting and shift the vibrational quality of the body (no experience needed). Mantra is a powerful tool that needs to be experienced to be understood. Expressing ourselves with intention laden mantra, and using our voice brings profound physical and subtle shifts in the body that make surrendering into meditation so much sweeter.

Kirtan + Meditation

Kirtan is a devotional practice of chanting mantra in the style of call and response. Kirtan utilises specific mantras that call upon different Devas (archetypal energies) whose qualities are present within each and everyone of us. The practice then becomes a vehicle for expression where the practitioner awakens that energy/quality within and creates the opportunity for an upwards shift. The residue of this devotion can then be felt in meditation.

Fire Ceremony +
Meditation

Homa (ritual fire) is a ceremony that invokes the qualities of the divine into the transformative element of Tejas (fire). In the Vedic tradition fire exists in the liminal space between the manifest and unmanifest and is therefore used as a potent doorway to connect those engaging in the ceremony with their highest value. Attendees are invited to make offerings into the fire, creating a unique immersive experience. The impact of such letting go/dissolution is palpable in meditation.

breath work + meditation

Breath work can be defined as the administering and refinement of Prana (life force) in the body. While breathing is autonomic, it is one of the only autonomic functions of the body that we can consciously engage with/shape. This creates a unique opportunity to use the breath as a tool to regulate the systems of our body that are usually beyond our control. Using simple sequences of powerful breathing techniques this practice creates balance and ease in the body and allows a softening and opening that slides us effortlessly into the experience of meditation.

pUja + Meditation

Puja can be defined as ‘the offering of a flower’, this flower is representative of the heart, ever unfurling and blossoming into the fullness of its expression. The ceremony of Puja is a sequence of ritualistic offerings that are the manifest expression of a deep state of reverence. As we honour our highest value whilst abiding in our inner experience, it’s an opportunity to work with anything that arises in a mode of nurturing and love. The nectarian nature of flowing our awareness with such love invites a sweetness that accompanies our inward journey.

Group Meditation

Group Meditation sessions are an opportunity for those who have learned the technique of Vedic Meditation to come together and share their experiences amongst loving and supportive community. These sessions are designed to create a greater understanding of the wisdom and philosophy that underpins the meditation practice, whilst also cultivating accountability, inspiration, context and affirmation when it comes to closing the eyes. Initiates are invited to ask questions that lead to the sharing of everything from the practicalities of a twice daily meditation practice to the understanding of deep inner experiences that can feel abstract or unclear.
