Vedic Meditation is a practice that falls under the category of Nishkamkarma Yoga;

Nishkam= Effort hardly made/Without attachment > Karma= Action > Yoga= Union with our essence

Therefore this practice is effortless, with action barely done and one that embraces each moment as it is, not as we would like it to be. This creates a potent opportunity for us, through the technique, to settle into our simplest form of awareness and come into relationship with what we are beyond the thinking mind. This technique also brings us into relationship with the innate intelligence of our bodies and through that delivers us the answer to the question ‘what is it that's needed right now?’. Unlike others styles of meditation Vedic Meditation doesn’t require concentration, contemplation or a focussed awareness *sigh of relief. This particular style of practice is in direct contrast to the doing of daily life and creates an environment that is conducive to Being; this in turn becomes a natural balancing agent and remedy to the compounds of stress & fatigue that we have all become accustom to.

Through this elegant process of letting go what emerges is greater vitality, increased capability, sophisticated problem solving, authentic warmth & friendliness and the reciprocal expression of love. The beauty of this practice is that it not only reveals to you the fullness of your individual expression but also slowly peels away everything that you are not; anxiety, reactivity, incessant thinking, insecurity and all of the ways we make ourselves small and unworthy. Vedic Meditation utilises the principles of sustainable practice, by engaging with the technique twice daily we acknowledge that there is no quick fix, we incrementally approach our journey of self healing and cultivate a process oriented outlook.
